Fellow Flatlander: Christin Jackson

Christin Jackson was born March 10, 1982, to Mitchell and Mandy Jackson. She grew up in Nettleton, Miss., just south of Tupelo, and attended Middle Tennessee State University. She is pretty sure she is the only resident of Greenwood with an MTSU decal on the back of her car. Christin was a distracted student until the age of 20 when she discovered she had ADHD and has now found better living through Adderall. She claims she remembers nothing she learned before her sophomore year.

Christin majored in electronic media journalism and moved to Greenwood from Nashville in February to work for WABG TV, where "she's got youcovered!" and can sometimes be seen on channel 4 for the 5 o'clock news or lugging a camera around town that is nearly as big as she is. Christin is actively pursuing an apartment, as she currently lives with an 85-year-old woman who requires that she be home by 10:30 p.m.

10. Embarrassing nickname: Tank Ass
11. Religion: Baptist
12. Significant other: Look out, guys! She's single!
13. Famous for: Getting hit on by many of Greenwood's endless supply of near-geriatric bachelors. (She has no problem taking free drinks,though.)
14. Hobbies: Christin likes to dance like a maniac to music of an African-American or techno origin.
15. Random note: She was named "No. 1 White Girl Who Can Dance Like a Black Woman" by non-caucasian females of her high school class.

Barack Obama is the only candidate that has been successful at reaching across party lines in the presidential election. I as well have not had much to say on The Dirt. It is unfortunate that I no longer consider myself in tune with life in the Delta and can no longer comment as such. Editorial: As Predicted, McCain Falls in the Polls

This two-minute campaign ad clearly states Barack Obama's plan to reenergize our economy. Thank God someone is addressing this issue. In an opinion editorial previously published this week, I predicted that the roller coaster ride the economy has been on this week would cause Republican presidential candidate John McCain to fall in the polls. "My prediction: By the end of the week, McCain's stance on the economy will cause his Palin bump in the polls to all but disappear." According to Real Clear Politics , "one of America’s premier independent political web sites," my prediction came true. Currently, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is ahead in the polls by 1.9% , approximately the level by which he was ahead leading into the Democratic and Republican conventions.
