Look, I'm a smoker trying to give up and come on guys!!!! you can't possible say that the smoking ban is a bad thing????? Have you read anything about the effects smoking has on not just yourself but people around you. Family friends??? Fine smoke but other people want to go to a pub or restaurant without inhaling deadly toxins into their body. As I said, I smoke but I can't believe anyone would think that the government is doing a bad thing by trying to improve the health of the country and of our children.

When I was consulting at UCLA we discovered that if you dark-adapt for half an hour, you can see cigarette smoke when the glow of the cigarette is hidden. The reason you can see it is because the smoke is photo-luminescent. It's photo-luminescent because it's radioactive and you can count it, way above the background with a beta counter. It's radioactive because tobacco concentrates uranium and other radioactive components. The murderous tobacco corporations know this. They are only concerned about their ill-gotten gains. They are thieves and liars.

Further: The smoke is cohesive. It doesn't dissipate freely and is imposed on anyone in the near vicinity of the self-destructive smoker. It also lays a filthy, sticky coating on everything it contacts including throats, lungs and the breathing organs of innocent bystanders.

It's incredible that this deadly poison can be packaged and distributed by criminal corporations to the detriment of everyone. More must be done to get rid of tobacco and the harm it does to smokers and innocent non-smokers.

Oh! I used this addictive poison until I was 26. Now at 73 so happy to be free of it except its imposition by inconsiderate, self destructive smokers. I am the sworn enemy of the tobacco companies and will do everything possible to defeat their criminal activities.
