Fellow Flatlander: Katharine Douglas

Katharine shows off her newly cut hair on The Alluvian patio this summer.

Katharine Douglas was born on April 27, 1986 in Miami, Fla. Her parents are Dr. Rusty and Betty Douglas of Robert E. Lee Drive and she has one brother, Philip, a junior at Pillow Academy. A longtime Greenwood resident, Katharine moved here with her family when her father assumed the role of Pastor at First Presbyterian Church almost 10 years ago. She is currently working for the Viking Hospitality Group in downtown Greenwood.

A 2005 graduate of Pillow Academy, Katharine first attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. She recently moved home to be closer to family and to work toward a nursing degree at Mississippi Delta Community College. Whether at the Mockingbird Bakery or the Viking Cooking School, Katharine is always a friendly face to see around town. She recently cut ten inches of her hair for Locks of Love.
