Alert! Walt Grayson is Coming to Town!

Walt Grayson, on location in Quitman County for Mississippi Roads.
My favorite Mississippi documentarian, Walt Grayson, host of such wonderful programs as Mississippi Roads and Looking Around Mississippi, will be at Turnrow Book Co. tomorrow to read from and sign his collection of Mississippi photos. Entitled Looking Around Mississippi Some More, his coffee table-esque book is sure to feature some of his best work.
His shows, which air on PBS (Mississippi Roads) and on WLBT (Looking Around Mississippi) were and are my favorite shows on television today. These thirty-minute programs are filmed in documentary format and feature little-known towns, artists, musicians, churches, festivals, museums, etc. from all across the Great State of Mississippi.
The tragedy that lies within this story is that I am leaving tomorrow morning at 4 a.m. for Jackson Hole, Wyoming with the fam and will miss him. I have already made arrangements, however, to have my book signed in my absence. Thanks, Amy! If you don't do anything else tomorrow, get down to the Turnrow and get your book signed. And listen to him read.
Of local interest, Mr. Grayson was the Grand Marshal of last year's Roy Martin Delta Band Festival. Walt will be at the Turnrow tomorrow, December 12, from 12 to 2 p.m. to sign copies of his new book. If you have any questions, feel free to call the 'Row at 453-5995. And tell ol' Walt I said hello.
