2008 Millennium Blues Festival

A good time was had by a packed house at the Civic Center Saturday night. Some danced, some clapped, some rode each other.

Richard Kwong (sorry about the picture, Richard), Reuben Hughes and me.
WGNL radio personality Reuben Hughes brought his Millennium Blues Festival back to the Leflore County Civic Center Saturday night with a turnout of about 2,000, according to Civic Center director Andrew McQueen. Hughes held his last show in Batesville after a previous squabble with the Civic Center and county Board of Supervisors over a parking fine.
Acts were J. Blackfoot, Omar Cunningham, Carl Marshall, Clarence Carter and Denise LaSalle, who ended the night with her usual obscenities over any man who "messed around and stayed out too late."
