And the Easter Bunny Goes Down...



In honor of the upcoming Easter holiday, I share this little gem of a video taken almost one year ago today. It was the First Presbyterian Church Easter Egg Hunt held at my dad's house and I got volunteered to dress up as the Easter Bunny. Don't ask where we got our hands on a 6'4" Easter Bunny suit.

Anyway, I had just given blood at the hospital (you can ask Toni - she was there too) and when I reached into a tree to help a little girl find an egg, I turned around to find a whole gaggle of greedy kids wanting the very same egg. So I did the only thing I knew to do - RUN!

That's when the whole gaggle proceeded to chase me across the yard and into the neighbor's, where sweet little William Dent Brock form tackled the Easter Bunny and continued to perform elbow drop moves straight from the WWF playbook. With moves like that, I'd put him up against Hulk Hogan any day.

Needless to say, having just given a large percentage of my bodily fluids to some poor soul who needed a fresh pint of AB-, I was a little tired. That's why the Easter Bunny looked a little out of breath when he finally got up. But since the Easter Bunny's gotta do what the Easter Bunny's gotta do, I continued to take pictures with the little kiddies.

Obama or McCain? You Decide.

Barack Obama is the only candidate that has been successful at reaching across party lines in the presidential election. I as well have not had much to say on The Dirt. It is unfortunate that I no longer consider myself in tune with life in the Delta and can no longer comment as such. My free time (what little of it I have) has also been dedicated to following both the presidential election and American Idol like a hawk. That having been said, I am not afraid to admit that my name is on Amy's list of previously sane people who are seriously considering Obama in November. Now, my consideration depends on a lot of future events to fall into place. First and foremost, Obama will have to beat Hillary for the Democratic nomination. If that were to happen, my pick between Obama and McCain would also depend on who each picks for their veep candidate. Editorial: As Predicted, McCain Falls in the Polls

This two-minute campaign ad clearly states Barack Obama's plan to reenergize our economy. Thank God someone is addressing this issue. In an opinion editorial previously published this week, I predicted that the roller coaster ride the economy has been on this week would cause Republican presidential candidate John McCain to fall in the polls. "My prediction: By the end of the week, McCain's stance on the economy will cause his Palin bump in the polls to all but disappear."
