He May Not Be President (Yet), But He Stayed at a Holiday Inn Express Last Night
Greenwoodian and Holiday Inn Express-Greenville hotel owner Suresh Chawla greets presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama at 10:30 p.m. Monday.
Obama poses for a pic with Holiday Inn Express-Greenville front desk agent Brian Credeur.
However, Chawla was much more excited about the royal flush he obtained in a hand of Texas Hold 'Em with friend Kevin Broughton of Madison while waiting for the entourage to arrive.
Secret service agents and Obama campaigners packed Greenville hotels Monday night after a day that included a speaking engagement at Jackson State University. The Obama camp settled in for a good night's sleep to prepare for Mississippi's Tuesday primary and further photo op's in the Delta.
With the crew were U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson and former Mississippi Gov. Ray Maybus, who asked a hotel staff member for money for the candy machine before heading to bed.
I, too, got to shake the hand of the presidential hopeful. When someone asked if I want to be in Credeur's photo, Obama pre-empted, "Oh, she's alright" and left me behind the counter.
Thanks, Barack. You read my mind.

the guy had 120 rooms at my three hotels for two nights, loser! wouldn't you shake the hand of someone whose campaign just spent$19,200 with you?
oh, sorry, that figure represents the total cost of your used trailer and used teeth.
