The Greenwood Amateur Bowling League Roundup

The Drunk Plumbers are (back, from left) Taylor "The Cheese" Calhoun, Mike "Moe Szyslak" Ewing, Cannon "Red" Burgess, Sam "Pig" Pigott, (from front left) Lee "Devil" Hodges, Channing "Pipe Layer" Upchurch and Lee "Crazy Legs" Pruett. Palmer Brock is not pictured, and I have been told he sucks.

The sponsors.

Ricky "Rico" Robertson, sporting this season's Average Joes shirt.

The back.

High fives were common.

The "leg shake," not so much.

James Funderburk of the Trustmark team had the pleasure of playing the Plumbers Thursday.

Jimmy Horne and his son Kevin.

Drunk Plumber Mike Ewing said his team has a fantastic bowling season. "We kicked the Average Joes asses," he said. "They're the reason we joined the league. Our motto is, 'I don't care if we finish next to last just so long as they finish last.'"

Average Joe Kevin Horne, on the other hand, was upset about his lack of publication in "Leflore Illustrated" and waxed passionately about the merits of Greenwood bowling. "Its part of the community," he said. "And it's blossoming."
