Unintentionally Stalking the 'Monastery'

The 'Monastery' stopping traffic again, this time on Highway 49 North.

I was driving along to Cleveland from Greenwood this morning on Highway 49 E North. (I don't really understand how a highway going North is named East, but we'll let that go here, as Ft. Worth, TX has similar problems.) I came to a stretch where I saw a ginormous dilapidated-looking house thing pull out in front of me that said "Oversize Load." That's an understatement.

The thing took the entirety of both lanes and there was no way around it. Just as I was calling my work contacts to tell them I'd be six hours late to Cleveland, a guy in a red pickup backed up and politely informed me the oversized thing would be turning off the road in just a mile.

Funny, I thought. It kinda looks like that part of that Tallahatchie Tavern thing... After reading Thomas' post from yesterday and talking with the Lester Shanks I discovered that it was indeed the Monastery! How weird. Look at the Dirt being accidentally on top of all the Delta's breaking news!

Hwy 49 splits in two just north of Yazoo City and rejoins at Tutwiler. So the 49s are called East and West for clarity.

If that wasn't a serious question, I apologize for being dense.
