Smoke Out

(Top) Master carpenter and rabid Bulldog fan Andy Hunt (left) and one of Greenwood's favorite bartenders, Mike Ewing, enjoyed one last night to smoke indoors at Webster's Food & Drink Wednesday.

When asked by a reporter what he thought about the smoking ban, Ewing said, "I think it's bullshit!" which unfortunately could not be printed in The Greenwood Commonwealth.

(Below) Greenwood Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Paige Hunt (left) and Fellow Flatlander and WABG TV personality Christen Jackson also attended Webster's Smoke 'Em if You Got 'Em Party.

Regarding Thomas's post on the recent smoking poll, I argue that those who voted "no affect" can not necessarily be categorized as ban advocates. I, for one, will not lessen my trips to bar but definitely do not favor the no-smoking ordinance which became effective today.

Regardless, I hope the poll was a little off. Hopefully a significant number of Greenwoodians will not stop frequenting their favorite establishments and thus punishing private business owners due to a measure passed by the City Council.

Thanks again to everyone who has participated in the smoking discussions and polls! It's been fun.

I don't know this Ewing guy, but he sure does have a way with words.

Why don't you say how you really fell Mike?
Malone, when did you see him fall? He must have been drunk to say that and then fall down. This typing thing is really hard isn't it?

Well it must be hard because you can't seem to type your name
